James Walter Smith of Jas. Smith Advisors is the only person giving investment advice at the firm. James graduated from La Jolla University in 1984 with a BS in business administration. He also attended New York University where he earned a professional certificate in Portfolio Management. Mr. Smith was employed as a financial advisor with Morgan Stanley from 1988-1998. In 1998 he was recruited by J.P. Morgan Chase and served as a Financial Consultant and Senior Relationship Manager. He joined Spear Capital Management, an investment advisory firm in 2002 , as a Registered Representative. James is engaged in professions other than giving financial planning and investment advice. A 1969 graduate of the Connecticut School of Broadcasting; Mr. Smith enjoys producing radio commercials and political ads. This profession takes up a tiny portion of his time, but it is extremely rewarding .
